In essence, nerd. I’ve been watching the Discovery Channel and Jeopardy since I was a child so I push my black rimmed glasses up onto my nose several times a day with all the obscure, useless facts floating around in my head. 

 

But I am passionate about the things I love. Those include my family and friends, my dog, nature, culture and societies all over the world, veganism, photography, and general learning.

I have an unusual love for maps and geography. As a matter of fact I have named all my technological gadgets after cartography terms (this is coming to you from my macbook Atlas). I was a ridiculously big dog nerd as a child and can still tell you what kind of dog that is walking down the street. And my way of showing love and affection is with cookies.

 

Right now I’m about to go back to school to finish up my bachelors degree. I try to balance the crushing facts about the world we live in with lots of cookies and homemade comfort food. My sweetheart and my family can attest to that.
