Cooking should always be accompanied by noise. Preferably music, but some Jerry Springer in the background works too. Lately the cooking adventures in Ames have had some good soundtracks, usually single artists. I love that, but I thought about what my cooking playlist would be. I swear I can have original thoughts, but the credit for this one goes to Abbie at Hooray Vegan. So I’ve been scouring my iTunes thinking up my current cookin’ playlist. And here’s a sampling.
‘Bad Moon Rising’ – Creedence Clearwater Revival, this is on most of my playlists.
‘Glass Danse’ – The Faint, dancing is a must.
‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ – Gym Class Heroes, mentions making pancakes. Perfect.
‘Bad Education’ – Tilly & the Wall, it gets those feet moving as you stomp out the beat.
‘Everything Is Alright’ – Motion City Soundtrack, for the OCD oven cleaners and ceiling tile counters.
‘Organ Grinder’ – Murder By Death, there is no emo in the kitchen. You need to be spinning around.
I should include ‘Hands Down’ by Dashboard Confessional. But there is a minor problem in the fact that my friends and I created an entire litany of moves to go with this song and it makes any sort of cooking difficult when dancing.
